A quiet start
Snow kept us from our January meeting. This evening of Cheese and Games was postponed to February. There was still a chance, for those who could, to catch up with another meeting at The George in Eccleshall for a coffee, as an alternative to Lunch Club. We are becoming regulars! Happy New Year!
At our December meeting we made tiny shoes for the Christmas Tree Festival. We really were like the elves in the Elves and the Shoemaker - making the shoes in 1.5 hours! Everyone had a go. The variety showed just how creative our group are. Some of us used stitches we had not used since primary school! A month of making
A busy month. On November 4 th we headed to Blurton and the local retro ABC cinema that the Jones’ built in their own back garden! Our Standon and Cotes Heath WI was up in lights! The cinema was very cosy and we all enjoyed the film ‘Finding your Feet’, eating pop corn and chocolates. Andy and Jane Jones could not have made us more welcome.
